ZOE Alerts!

Last week, I walked readers through a step-by-step process to subscribe to my ZombieOrpheus Interest List on Facebook. This week, I am going to hit on another basic tweak that will a) put ZOE posts in your Facebook news feed and b) send you notifications whenever ZOE posts something*. This time in four fast steps:

1) Sign into your Facebook account

2) Go to ZOE’s page: https://www.facebook.com/ZombieOrpheus

3) Hover over [Liked]

4) Check “Get Notifications” and “Show in News Feed”

This works for both Profile Accounts (hover over [Friends]) and any other pages. Now when ever ZOE posts the latest, greatest piece of news on Facebook, you'll get a notification like this:

* Facebook often filters how much content posted on a page gets distributed to ‘likers’. My understanding is that only about 1 in 10 see a post. With these two tweaks, you are more likely to get notifications, but I’ve discovered that it’s not 100%.

How to follow every ZOE show’s Facebook page in 5 easy steps.

Here’s a quick way to follow Zombie Orpheus on Facebook along with 17* of the 18 webseries currently available through zombieorpheus.com. These instructions are for a computer interface and may not work for a tablet or mobile device (although once this link has been set up, you will be able to access it from those devices).

Step 1: Go to www.facebook.com and sign into your account.

Step 2: Go to https://www.facebook.com/lists/10151804018737642.

Step 3: Click the [Follow] button near the top right of the screen (see Figure 1). ZombieOrpheus now appears at the bottom left in your sidebar, under INTERESTS.

(Step 3.5: If you cannot see INTERESTS on the left sidebar, click the [MORE] button under the last entry and it should appear).

Step 4: Hover over INTERESTS in the left sidebar and a hidden link titled MORE will appear (Figure 2). Click on [MORE]. This will inventory all of your lists in the main content area of the page.

Step 5: In the main content area and to the left of ZombieOrpheus is a pencil icon. Click the [Pencil] and select “Add to Favorites” (Figure 3). This will move your new ZombieOrpheus list into your FAVORITES on the top left sidebar.

And that’s it! Now when you are on your home page just click the ZombieOrpheus link in your sidebar and get the latest news and information from your favorite web series.
